Job Responsibilities

As a lead product designer, you will play a key role in shaping the financial independence of millions of users. Your focus at Bitpanda is to eliminate obstacles to accessing opportunities for wealth generation, thereby creating exceptional and seamless experiences that empower users in achieving financial freedom.

Your weekly tasks will involve overseeing design project quality, as well as designing various components of the trading experience.

Key Tasks:

• Lead and influence experience design projects for our broker, spanning multiple teams and contributing to overall business performance. You will independently provide strategic input, participate in critical business decisions, and champion our experience vision.
• Take ownership of projects and UX initiatives, managing them from inception to completion. This includes conducting design sprints, fostering collaboration sessions, understanding customer challenges, sketching, wireframing, prototyping, user testing, and leading stakeholder consultations.
• Support leadership by enhancing the team's capabilities, mentoring through collaboration, and conduct design reviews.
• Establish strong partnerships with delivery partners in the trading solution, focusing on long-term product possibilities.
• Enhance and maintain product experience quality and consistency through improvements and additions to our design system.
• Demonstrate the business value of design to other teams by delivering measurable experiences that align with Bitpanda's vision and strategy.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in UX design, including robust research and content design skills, and the capability to manage projects autonomously.
• Engage in strategic discussions about project direction concerning the holistic customer experience and insights.
• Break down complex issues strategically, validate assumptions iteratively, and work with stakeholders to define project objectives, deadlines, restrictions, and priorities.
• Continuously expand knowledge of customer challenges, conduct investor-focused studies, and collect input from peers across different functions.
• Possess more than 4 years of experience collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to deliver engaging experiences. Proficiency in English (German is a plus) and work with industry-standard tools like Figma, Miro, and JIRA with experience in design systems.
