Responsibilities:
Joining the Security and Technology Risk Management team entails a role pivotal in supporting the daily operations and strategic direction of Circle's Technology Risk Management framework. This function aims to collaborate closely with primary technology units to identify, assess, prioritize, mitigate, and report on the company's technology risks. By contributing to the broader Enterprise Risk Management Program, the objective is to fortify Circle's resilience by anticipating and preparing for internal and external factors that may impede its goals. The multifaceted program encompasses policy supervision, issue handling, change oversight, risk evaluation, resiliency, technology governance, third-party scrutiny, and collaborative vendor relationships.
Key Focus Areas:
- Facilitate the execution of Enterprise Risk Management initiatives in concert with the Technology teams and Chief Technology Officer.
- Contribute to robust technology oversight by identifying risks, executing remediation strategies, and influencing technology roadmaps.
- Engage in enterprise-level risk assessment to guide risk control implementations and enhance risk-related decision-making.
- Apply technical expertise to proactively predict and mitigate technology risks in line with business operations.
- Spearhead risk assessments, monitoring, and reporting on technology vulnerabilities, including areas such as engineering and cybersecurity.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a cohesive approach to technology risk management and alignment with prevailing risk tolerances.
- Provide strategic counsel to evaluate current risk exposure, propose mitigation strategies, and synchronize risk mitigation with corporate guidelines.
- Enhance risk awareness training programs and deliver continuous risk-oriented guidance across the organization.
- Contribute to executive-level analysis, reporting, and policy updates to reflect the evolving technological landscape.

Requirements:
- A minimum of 7 years' experience in technology-focused risk management, ideally within financial services, payments, or tech sectors.
- Proficiency in Enterprise Risk Management frameworks and quantitative risk models like FAIR.
- Familiarity with blockchain technology and digital payment concepts.
- Track record of instilling risk-aware culture amid rapid growth in tech or finance settings.
- Competence in Google Suite, Slack, and Apple MacOS platforms preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Risk Management, or Business; Technology or Security certifications desirable (e.g., ITIL, CISM).
Additional Details:
- This role offers immediate PERM sponsorship eligibility for eligible candidates.
- Circle operates under a transparent compensation policy, considering diverse factors like experience, skills, and organizational needs when determining pay ranges and packages.
- Compensation Package:
- Base Pay Range: $130,000 - $170,000
- Annual Bonus Target: 15%
