About the Role:

Limit Break is seeking a Level Designer with expertise in 3D environments, animations, and cinematics to design impactful visual narratives for mobile games. As a Lead Level Designer, you will play a key role in product leadership, innovate new game experiences, and enhance game content using data-driven design.

Key responsibilities involve designing visual narratives, mini-games, and live events within Unity engine, including level creation, scripting, and cinematics. This role demands a deep understanding of game engines, editors, and level scripting tools to create innovative gaming experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of game levels and live events with engaging visual narratives, cutscenes, and minigames.
  • Collaborate with Creative, Art, Design, and UI teams to develop storyboards for game episodes using visual narrative techniques.
  • Create in-engine cinematics in Unity to enhance visual storytelling.
  • Assemble assets in Unity to build engaging scenes.
  • Utilize cinematography and animation techniques to create compelling visual narratives.
  • Work closely with various creative departments to ensure asset specifications are met.
  • Establish and maintain a content pipeline throughout the game development cycle.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in the video game industry as a Technical 3D Level Designer or Technical Artist.
  • Proven ability to design engaging narratives for levels, quests, minigames, and events.
  • Strong Unity skills for creating game scenes and environments.
  • Proficient in technical implementation and scripting.
  • Knowledge of in-engine sequencers, cinematography, and 3D animation.
  • Stay updated with industry technologies and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with the team.
  • Experience with data-driven design and live services.
  • Resourceful and able to work within technical constraints.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with live game services and managing a content pipeline.
  • Mobile gaming experience preferred.
  • Agile development experience with animation, VFX, and lighting.
  • Passion for utilizing new technologies to create innovative games.
  • Experience with designing a mobile game from inception.

Design and adjust the numerical systems for Web3 event-related products, including event points, prize tiers, lottery drop rates, viral referral setups, NFT-related values, and coordination of in-game and on-chain assets to ensure game balance and playability.
Collaborate closely with the development and design teams to create numerical design plans and follow through on their implementation.
