Machine Learning Engineer

Flow Traders is in search of a Machine Learning Engineer to join its team at the Amsterdam office. As a member of the team, you will play a key role in advancing the trading model research framework and integrating it with the platform for deploying and running the models. Your responsibilities will involve expanding the framework and platform to accommodate diverse data sources for data-driven systematic processes.

Responsibilities:

• Take the lead in developing and implementing the research framework on a global scale, from defining and training models using various optimization procedures to integrating them with the production platform
• Create tools and frameworks for the Quantitative Researchers and Traders suitable for testing hypotheses and refining data-driven trading strategies
• Collaborate with the business to refine requirements, gather feedback, and enhance the design and implementation of research tools

Requirements:

• Hold an advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a related field
• Possess over 5 years of hands-on experience in MLOps and Machine Learning Engineering
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, including expertise in TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn
• Proven track record in designing end-to-end machine learning pipelines, encompassing data preprocessing, model training, deployment, and monitoring
• Experience in creating and deploying RESTful APIs and microservices for model serving
• Familiarity with Big Data technologies like Hadoop and Spark
• Proficient in data visualization and reporting tools
• Knowledge of databases and query languages for data extraction and transformation
• Understanding and experience in modern software development practices and tools (e.g., Agile, version control, automated testing, CI/CD, observability)
• Solid grasp of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
