About the Role
We are currently seeking a software engineer with expertise in cryptography and Zero-Knowledge projects to join our team. As the in-house specialist in cryptography and Zero-Knowledge technology, you will play a pivotal role in advancing these areas within our NEAR Protocol. This will involve implementing and leading various projects, integrating the outcomes of Zero-Knowledge research conducted by Near community teams. Your work will have a significant impact on the scalability and decentralization of NEAR Protocol.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply the latest advancements in cryptography and Zero-Knowledge technology to enhance the security, scalability, and decentralization of NEAR Protocol.
- Conduct audits on external Zero-Knowledge projects within the NEAR ecosystem and identify opportunities for their integration into NEAR Protocol.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing consultation and guidance to internal and external teams on Zero-Knowledge technology.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in cryptography.
- Proficiency in Zero-Knowledge technology.
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable code.
- Quick learner, able to grasp new programming languages, APIs, and SDKs.
- Familiarity with Rust or other low-level languages.
- Excellent communication and remote working skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior contributions to open-source projects and involvement in open-source communities.
- Familiarity with Ethereum development and related technologies such as web3.js and ethers.js.
- Understanding of other crypto or blockchain technologies.
- Previous experience working in a startup environment.

- Technical interviews (4 sessions, each lasting 60 minutes)
