Senior DevOps Engineer
Monad Labs is expanding its team and seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in Linux systems and a strong background in infrastructure automation and testing. This position involves collaborating with a skilled team of systems professionals to enhance the testing and automation functionalities for a cutting-edge Layer-1 blockchain.
The team is centrally located in NoMad, Manhattan, NYC, offering a hybrid working arrangement (3 days in office).
Requirements
- 5 years' experience in DevOps/SRE/Linux Engineering
- Demonstrated proficiency in setting up devops environments and CI/CD platforms from scratch
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet
- Fluency in at least one backend development language such as Python, Go, or C++
- Mastery of command-line git
- Experience scripting deployment and maintenance procedures for infrastructure (Linux installations, clusters, networks)
- Expertise in improving observability and security practices
- Competence in network setup and management
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies including Docker, Qemu, etc
- Ability to write scripts and support testing and automation efforts

Responsibilities
- Developing, testing, and deploying code across various cloud and hosted environments
- Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Linux installations (Fedora/Ubuntu)
- Establishing and managing test networks

- Contributing to observability standards and security measures
- Participating in the on-call rotation for production support

Salary and Benefits
Minimum full-time salary of $200,000, with benefits including full coverage medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, mental health and fitness stipend, parental leave, and company-observed holidays.
