We are currently seeking a skilled Java data specialist who is enthusiastic about conquering data processing and analysis challenges, spanning from high-frequency tick data to alternative data sources, to drive and support our data-centric trading ventures.
Responsibilities
- Take the lead in managing a large, complex data platform focusing on high-frequency time-series data, real-time analytics, and historical data access
- Assume ownership of projects and components across the data pipeline, including data capture, cleaning, monitoring, warehousing, analysis, and API provision
- Utilize strong analytical and technical abilities to dissect, clean, model, and visualize extensive datasets
- Collaborate closely with trader, quant research, and quant developer teams
- Exercise creativity to identify technical gaps and enhance the effectiveness, coverage, and quality of our solutions
Qualifications
- Solid STEM educational background
- Proficiency in Java and/or Python programming
- Extensive experience with SQL and/or NoSQL database systems
- Familiarity with middleware technologies like Kafka, and data frameworks such as Flink, Spark, and Hive
- Previous exposure to a POSIX environment
- (Preferred) Background in cryptocurrency or financial products
- (Preferred) Experience working with intraday, tick data, or order book data
- Proficiency in on-chain data capture and analysis
- (Preferred) Experience with data analysis tools like Pandas, R, Spark, Arrow
- (Preferred) Knowledge of systematic or high-frequency trading practices
