Role Overview

Prior Experience Guidelines
- Extensive expertise in C++ development
- Background in high-frequency trading (HFT) or embedded systems development, encompassing domains like packet processing, robotics, etc.
- Strong intuition for software architecture
- Proficiency in performance optimization and profiling tools
- Skilled in proper memory management
- Familiarity with Unix, shell scripting, and Python
- Preferred but not mandatory: Bachelor's degree in a technical field; 5 years of industry experience
Responsibilities
- Enhance a high-performance multithreaded stack-based VM and ancillary functions
- Utilize profiling to pinpoint bottlenecks and assess design options for accelerating computational flow
- Design and implement architectural enhancements
- Contribute to developer tool development
- Tech stack includes C++, clang, LLVM, gdb, perf, Unix, and Git

Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary of at least $200,000 per year (actual compensation may adjust based on factors like experience and location)
