Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer (Mobile) at BitMEX, you will work with a focused team of engineers and UX designers on developing a cutting-edge mobile application to enhance the trading experience. The mobile app, built on React Native using Javascript, Kotlin, and Swift for iOS and Android platforms, aims to offer a more convenient and ergonomic trading experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to create innovative user experiences
- Uphold engineering standards through code review, active participation in team discussions, and exemplary coding practices
- Ensure a seamless user experience by writing well-tested and high-performance code
- Develop and enhance the BitMEX React Native mobile application
- Mentor other engineers on coding best practices and design principles
- Assess and implement new stack components and architectural ideas as needed
- Regularly review code and optimize for performance
- Previous experience with native iOS or Android development is advantageous
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Javascript and/or React Native
- Extensive experience in scaling mobile applications across a variety of devices
- Familiarity with mobile end-to-end testing
- Ability to make data-driven products accessible to consumers
- Comfortable working on multiple products simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of current UX trends and a curiosity for new UX concepts
- Experience working in small teams with a focus on ownership of product features
- Detail-oriented and analytical, with a passion for technological innovation, particularly in the crypto space
