Our Engineering Team at Immutable is responsible for developing the world's top gaming-focused NFT Trading Ecosystem. We create user experiences for web3 games that meet the demands of a global audience. Our work involves solving complex technical problems and having a lot of fun along the way.

We are looking to hire engineers in the Asia Pacific region. Our interview and onboarding process is conducted remotely, reflecting our global experience. You can choose to work from our Sydney headquarters or have access to a WeWork location in any major city. Additionally, we provide relocation packages for candidates who wish to move to Australia.

About The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer (SDK), your main focus will be on the development and distribution of our flagship game asset exchange, Immutable zkEVM. You will collaborate with our development team to create high-quality and robust SDKs for our customers and games.

At Immutable, we aim to scale the creation and trading of in-game assets for businesses. As we scale, we are looking for engineers who are passionate about solving challenging problems in the exciting world of NFTs. Blockchain experience is not a requirement; we seek individuals with strong engineering principles, good communication skills, and a desire to learn.

You’ll Be Empowered To:

• Ensure the quality of SDK releases by identifying improvements based on feedback and internal standards
• Engage with product managers and customers to identify and deliver new features
• Collaborate with teams and customers to resolve SDK-related issues
• Coach and mentor software engineers in SDK development
• Optimize SDK performance and scalability
• Debug and troubleshoot SDK issues for seamless integration experiences
• Create clear and concise SDK documentation
• Gain exposure to Web3 development and blockchain technologies
• Work in a collaborative environment
• Contribute to operational excellence within your team
• Continually improve team workflows and processes

We'd Love You To Bring:

• At least 3+ years of experience as a Typescript developer with expertise in packaging and testing
• Professional development experience in Typescript
• Expert-level experience in building, debugging, packaging, and releasing SDKs
• Experience developing internal tooling, libraries, and test frameworks for multiple teams
• Ability to work independently on basic DevOps tasks such as CI/CD pipeline configuration
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and services
• Strong system design capabilities

Bonus Points For:

• Experience in Web3 development projects related to smart contracts, NFTs, or minting
• Interest in game engines and game development (Unity, Unreal, WebGL)
