Who we need:
Web3js.org was created by one of the co-founders of Ethereum. We are seeking a passionate and proactive Senior TypeScript Developer who shares our commitment to building open-source software and driving blockchain into mainstream adoption. You will collaborate across multiple Ethereum-focused projects and contribute to your team's success through high-quality code. In your role, you will be the core maintainer of the oldest Web3 library, impacting millions of Ethereum developers.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in discussions and contribute to enhancing Web3js.
- Review, audit, and test teammate's code while addressing bugs reported by the community.
- Provide feedback on design decisions and develop compliant, optimized code based on protocol specifications.
- Stay updated with the latest Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs).
Required skills and experience:
- Strong experience in TypeScript programming language (over 5 years).
- Proficiency in debugging, code reviewing, and software development life cycle.
- Hands-on experience in open-source projects.
- Knowledge of best practices, design patterns, and software development principles.
Nice to have:
- Experience in distributed systems, peer-to-peer systems, network programming, or cryptography.
- Experience in maintaining large mono repo codebases and setting up CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks and web bundlers.
- Experience with Ethereum or EVM-compatible blockchains.
- Understanding and application of semver versioning.
