About the Role:
We are seeking an exceptional Unity Engineer to lead a new project in developing a cutting-edge mid-core, 3D mobile game from concept to reality. You will collaborate with a dynamic team to craft and refine the game prototype. As the project progresses, you will scale the team and work with key stakeholders to move from pre-production to full production.

Responsibilities: What you'll do
- Design, implement, and maintain robust gameplay systems in Unity using C#.
- Collaborate with designers and artists to bring features to life.
- Develop modular, data-driven systems in Unity that can adapt to live configuration and content changes.
- Coordinate with the backend team to ensure seamless client-server communication.
- Assist in architectural decisions and mentor junior developers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance, crash, and build size issues using Unity’s profiling tools.
- Take ownership of features from concept to finalization ensuring their quality.
Qualifications: Who you are and what you’ve done
- Minimum 8 years of professional game development experience with at least 5 years in Unity.
- Proficiency in Unity, C#, and deep knowledge of the engine lifecycle.
- Experience shipping live service games on mobile using Unity.
- Comfort working within a large Unity codebase, modifying and extending existing systems efficiently.
- Proactive mindset, capable of taking full ownership of features.
- Understanding of Unity’s architecture and best practices for MonoBehaviours, ScriptableObjects, Prefabs, and Addressables.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other team members.
Nice to have: What an ideal candidate looks like
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese.
- Knowledge of backend technologies like GoLang, Redis, SQL, and Docker.
- Experience with Free-to-play game titles.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
