About the Job Opportunity
This is an onsite role based in the Bay Area, CA.
We are looking for a skilled and meticulous senior visual/UI designer to join the OKX Product Visual Team. In this key role, you will play a significant part in setting the creative direction to define our brand identity within our products. Your responsibility will involve developing engaging user experiences that strengthen the connection between our products and users. You will create comprehensive visual systems incorporating illustration, animation, and interactive elements to empower brand expression. Moreover, you will establish guidelines to maintain consistency, coherence, and scalability in our brand. Collaboration is crucial as you will closely work with various teams including creative, product, marketing, strategy, engineering, and research to enhance our product visual design standards. We seek a detail-oriented candidate with a keen focus on creative and holistic product design thinking. You should excel in adapting to different creative styles and mediums while upholding a high standard of product excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate innovative visual ideas for products and present them to key leadership
- Ensure product design aligns with industry trends and brand standards
- Drive product visual design aspects, pitch ideas, and communicate solutions to stakeholders
- Propose and design creative concepts independently
- Align priorities with cross-functional teams to establish shared goals and objectives
- Develop beautiful, simple, and intuitive design experiences and functionalities
- Provide and receive feedback on designs and product decisions from a visual/art direction perspective
- Collaborate extensively across functions, meet stakeholder needs, and simplify complex requirements into compelling solutions
- Advocate for a culture of excellence, emphasizing craft and quality of work
- Work with product, research, and engineering teams to identify product enhancement opportunities for greater brand expression and work quality
Key Qualifications
- Experience designing digital products in an agile development setting for 5+ years
- Portfolio showcasing modern design work with a mobile-first focus
- Strong visual design skills and ability to deliver pixel-perfect designs
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or equivalent experience
- Deep grasp of human-centered design principles
- Ability to translate complex problems into intuitive, user-centric, data-driven experiences
- Proficient in managing dependencies, prioritizing tasks, and staying flexible within a fast-paced environment
- Expertise in design methodologies, tools, and collaboration for understanding and meeting user needs
- Strong presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Proficient in articulating complex concepts persuasively and being open to feedback
- Extensive experience in developing digital products and experiences through user research and prototyping
- Able to work in an agile development setup with cross-functional partners
- Proficiency in prototyping tools (e.g., Figma)
Nice to Have
- Background in designing for fintech, investment platforms, or crypto products
- Experience collaborating with teams across different offices and time zones
- Basic knowledge of UX and digital illustration skills
- Proficiency in Mandarin

OKX Statement:
The salary for this role ranges from $144,000 to $180,000 depending on various factors. Performance bonuses and long-term incentives may be provided in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits depending on the job offer.
