Role Overview
Limit Break is seeking a Senior VFX Artist to establish and maintain the VFX style and production process for an upcoming game. In this role, you will collaborate closely with various departments to achieve visual fidelity while adhering to the technological and design constraints required for the desired platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Art Directors and Concept Artists to drive high-quality VFX simulations, textures, and material creations.
- Establish processes, standards, documentation, and training.
- Ensure that VFX art assets are built with high technical standards and efficiency.
- Assign and manage tasks for internal and external teams.
- Organize, schedule, and manage daily activities of the VFX team in collaboration with Production.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Technical Art to build and improve the VFX art pipeline.
- Troubleshoot various issues in DCC tools and in-game.
Qualifications
- Passion for iterative design and peer-to-peer culture.
- 5-7 years of professional VFX experience, including leadership experience.
- Excellent understanding of timing, motion, and volume preservation.
- Proficiency in industry-standard DCC tools (e.g., Maya, Houdini, Photoshop) for asset generation.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in managing and collaborating within remote teams.
- Extensive experience collaborating with other departments, artists, designers, and programmers.
- Work experience with the latest game engines such as Unreal, Unity, and proprietary technologies.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in profiling and optimizing art assets for memory and performance.
- Broad interest in real-time rendering technology and art asset creation tools.
