Position Summary:
Join our dynamic team as a Backend Engineer at Flipster, where you'll play a key role in designing and developing micro-service-based components for our electronic trading system. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about driving product enhancements and features while ensuring security, robustness, and high performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop micro-service based components for the electronic trading system from the ground up.
- Implement features and enhancements in a secure, well-tested, and performant manner.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience.
- Proficient in Python with a willingness to learn new languages, experience with Rust is a plus.
- Strong grasp of fundamental algorithms, system design, and large distributed systems.
- Knowledge of computer architecture and networks.
- Familiarity with software engineering principles like TDD, writing clean, modular, maintainable code, and Agile practices.
- Experience in building scalable systems and delivering real-time web data.
- Demonstrated sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in microservice architecture, test automation, large-scale database design, derivatives pricing, scaling, as well as operating system and network layer performance tuning.
- Ideally holds a degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Self-motivated and proactive with strong English communication skills.
