Responsibilities:
- Create low latency financial software that can handle billions of dollars in trading volume per day, including developing order book matching engines, trading engines, and REST & Websocket API endpoints.
- Contribute to the development of open-source blockchain-based code that powers the dYdX protocol.
- Build high-performance REST & WebSocket APIs to support our frontend app and programmatic traders.
- Develop open-source TypeScript & Python clients to enable seamless interaction with our on-chain smart contracts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver the best possible product.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a full-time developer (internship experience from a top tech company is mandatory for new graduates).
- Demonstrated expertise and a depth of technical experience through previous work.
- Strong ability to write secure, efficient, and high-quality code.
- Fast learner with the ability to quickly grasp and master new technologies.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working on high-quality products in the finance or security sectors.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, Node.js, and/or Postgres.
- Prior experience in building blockchain applications or smart contracts.
- Preferred location: NYC.
Salary range: $150K to $230K USD (NY). Compensation may vary based on experience and location. Published salary bands adhere to transparency laws and do not include possible additional compensation such as annual merit increases, eligibility for bonuses, commissions, or equity incentives.
