About Us Uniswap Labs is a leading contributor to the Uniswap Protocol, the largest decentralized trading and automated market making protocol on Ethereum. As a team, we are focused on developing a range of products to support the Uniswap Labs ecosystem. With our headquarters located in SoHo, New York City, we offer the flexibility of partial or full remote work depending on the role.

Role Overview

We are seeking a junior engineer to join us in building the next generation of the Uniswap Protocol. This role involves designing and implementing systems and protocols that enhance the Ethereum blockchain.

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining low-level backend services for interaction with the Uniswap Protocol
• Participating in discussions from initial product ideas to launch
• Researching and contributing to Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs)

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience working on blockchains, consensus algorithms, peer-to-peer networks, or applied cryptography
• Deep knowledge of Ethereum and the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)
• Broad understanding of the Ethereum roadmap
• Knowledge of blockchain designs, their tradeoffs, and the underlying cryptography
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and computer science fundamentals
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Go, Rust, or a similar language

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, networking, or orchestration using AWS components like Docker, ECS, CDK, or DynamoDB
• Experience in writing smart contracts
• Love for unicorns :)

Uniswap Labs offers a competitive salary range of $180,000-$210,000 per year. Please note that this information is in compliance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law. Full-time employees are also eligible for additional compensation elements, including equity, tokens, and benefits based on the position type.
