About the Role:

This unique position at a rapidly growing global cryptocurrency exchange involves working with the KYB team. Responsible for reviewing customer KYC cases identified for potential money laundering, terrorist financing, AML violations, or fraud, the role requires prior experience in know-your-customer and sanctions compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of incoming customer onboarding cases in alignment with KYB policies.
  • Verify AML documentation by examining customer-provided KYB documents using validation tools and reliable sources.
  • Request necessary CDD/EDD documentation for a comprehensive AML onboarding process.
  • Follow up on pending CDD/EDD requests within stipulated SLAs.
  • Investigate matches from screening applications against sanctions, PEP's, and adverse media news, taking appropriate actions.
  • Provide AML/CDD issue information to management.
  • Ensure high service levels in addressing queries and escalate when needed.
  • Aid in improving the CDD function and maintain procedures.
  • Manage specific projects as they arise.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary higher education completion.
  • Minimum two years of AML, CDD/EDD review, or KYC work experience.
  • Proficient team player with strong communication and writing skills, detail-oriented.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
