About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer/Senior Staff Software Engineer to join our Payments Team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the engineering team in the US. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to develop the core components of a scalable, resilient, and observable payment platform.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and design high-scale APIs and distributed payment services operating on various cloud platforms, with Java being the primary language.
- Engage in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
- Resolve complex technical issues by identifying and implementing effective solutions.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and developments in technology and software development.
- Collaborate within a dynamic and fast-paced team environment.
What We Look For In You
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in backend Software Development.
- Proficiency in Java development, with experience in other languages considered a bonus.
- Proven track record in creating and maintaining large-scale, high-availability applications.
- Strong grasp of software engineering principles, including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Ability to work collaboratively in solving intricate cross-team challenges.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, both individually and within a team setting.
- Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Preferred experience with Java Spring Boot.
- Experience with payment platforms and systems is advantageous.
