Sign up now to be considered for Flow Traders’ Product Development team in Cluj. We are actively seeking skilled engineers to join our expanding organization. Successful candidates will work on our proprietary trading platform, focusing on writing efficient code, developing innovative solutions, and ensuring system stability and low latency. Our team operates in small, agile groups and collaborates closely with the Trading department for quick adaptation to market changes. Immediate feedback and close interaction with traders help us understand the impact of each enhancement. We encourage collaboration through shared libraries and continuous improvement of application architecture.

• Common stack: Java 8 & Java 11, Netty, Chronicle Queue, Hibernate, MariaDB, Cassandra, gRPC, Guava, Prometheus
• Big Data stack: Kafka, HDFS, AirFlow, Spark, Avro, Hazelcast, Kubernetes, Docker
• Web/UI: Spring MVC, Jetty, Mustache, JavaFX, Jackson
• Testing: Mockito, Truth, JUnit5

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Ensuring alignment with global Java Engineering Team on requirements, implementation, and standards
• Developing critical-path software with a focus on efficiency and stability
• Collaborating with business owners to deliver core roadmap items
• Participating in small team agile practices

Requirements for Success:

• More than 5 years of post-graduation work experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computing Science or equivalent
• Proficiency in Core Java, parallel, and multithreaded programming
• Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures
• Ability to optimize software and hardware performance
• Excellent communication skills for technical and business interactions
• Prior experience in professional software development, especially in trading industry
