As a part of our Java Engineers team, you will play a key role in enhancing our in-house trading platform through the development of efficient code, innovative solutions, and the maintenance of existing systems with a focus on low latency and stability. Working within small, agile teams aligned with our business units, we are able to adapt promptly to changing market conditions. Our close collaboration with the Trading team facilitates fast feedback loops and immediate insights into the impact of each modification. To promote teamwork and autonomy, we emphasize shared libraries, code reuse, and the continual evolution of our application architecture.
Some of the technologies we work with
- Common stack includes Java 8 & Java 11, Netty, Chronicle Queue, Hibernate, MariaDB, Cassandra, gRPC, Guava, and Prometheus
- Big Data stack involves Kafka, HDFS, AirFlow, Spark, Avro, Hazelcast, Kubernetes, and Docker
- Web/UI technologies comprise Spring MVC, Jetty, Mustache, JavaFX, and Jackson
- Testing tools such as Mockito, Truth, and JUnit5 are in use
- Development life-cycle support tools include Bitbucket, Bamboo, Confluence, Jira, Sonar Cube, IntelliJ IDEA, and YourKit profiler
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with global Java Engineering team members to align requirements, implementations, and standards
- Deliver critical-path software for core US roadmap items that require real-time functionality
- Take ownership of a set of related applications and collaborate closely with business stakeholders on a daily basis

According to NYC salary transparency regulations, the total compensation for this role includes a base salary range of $160,000 to $200,000 plus annual discretionary variable remuneration.
