About the Role:

Embark on an exciting journey with Limit Break as a top-tier Unity Engineer tasked with leading a groundbreaking venture to develop a cutting-edge mid-core 3D mobile game from conceptualization to realization. Collaborate with a dynamic team to craft and refine the game's prototype in alignment with executive vision. Responsibilities: What you’ll do

  • Conceptualize, develop, and maintain robust gameplay systems in Unity (C#)
  • Collaborate closely with designers and artists to breathe life into features
  • Design and deploy modular, data-driven systems in Unity that can adapt to live configuration and content changes
  • Coordinate with the backend team to ensure seamless client-server communication
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and provide mentorship for junior developers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance, crash, and build size issues using Unity’s profiling and debugging tools
  • Take ownership of features, guiding them from concept to refinement, striving for optimal outcomes

Qualifications: Who you are and what you’ve done

  • Minimum 8 years of professional game development experience, with at least 5 years in Unity
  • Proficiency in Unity and C# with a deep understanding of the engine’s lifecycle
  • History of shipping one or more live service games targeting mobile using Unity
  • Ability to navigate an established Unity codebase, modifying and extending systems with minimal disruption
  • Proactive mindset and a commitment to feature ownership from start to finish
  • Deep comprehension of Unity’s architecture, incorporating best practices for MonoBehaviours, ScriptableObjects, Prefabs, and Addressables
  • Capability to work independently while effectively communicating and collaborating with colleagues

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese is preferred
