Coixa was built to solve a core problem in the Pi ecosystem: the lack of a secure, developer-friendly, and extensible wallet infrastructure that goes beyond basic storage. The goal was to design a production-grade Web3 wallet that could act as a foundation for DeFi applications, external integrations, and future multi-chain expansion. The main challenge was security. Private key exposure, weak signing flows, and poor transaction handling are common in early-stage wallets. To address this, Coixa implements ephemeral key management, where sensitive keys exist in memory for less than one second during signing, significantly reducing attack vectors. Transactions are handled through a hardened signing flow with strict isolation between UI and cryptographic operations. Another challenge was scalability and future-proofing. Coixa was architected with a modular DeFi layer, making it easy to add AMMs, liquidity pools, order books, and wallet adapters without rewriting core logic.
