I will install and configure Discourse on your VPS and make sure the installation is working correctly.
The service includes:
- installation of the latest stable version of Discourse;
- Docker and required system configuration;
- domain and HTTPS setup;
- basic Discourse configuration;
- final testing of the installation.
Email setup
For full Discourse functionality, the server needs to be able to send email. This is a separate task and is not included in the base installation.
I can either configure Discourse to use an external SMTP service of your choice, or set up a fully local mail server on the same VPS.
Both options are discussed and charged separately.
What I need from you:
- a VPS/server running Linux (preferably Debian or Ubuntu);
- SSH access with root privileges or a user with sudo access;
- access to your domain DNS settings;
Discourse will be installed directly on your server, so you retain full control over your forum and its data.
