Description
- Responsible for accurately recording and reconciling various financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, trades, and fees, involving multiple cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies.
- Verify and confirm the correctness of internal payment system-originated transactions to ensure proper routing to the account system based on their nature.
- Maintain compliance with local accounting Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in all financial recording, reporting, and regulatory activities and remain informed on updates and changes to local accounting standards, aligning the accounting practices accordingly.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to reflect the financial performance and standing of the exchange.
- Regularly reconcile crypto and fiat assets with financial records from various sources and reports, including assets from customers and the company, on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Lead the monthly tax closing process and submit necessary documentation to the Revenue Department.
- Summarize and address monthly withholding tax (WHT) and Value Added Tax (VAT) transactions, liaison with external tax vendors for tax applications, and ensure accuracy and completeness of periodic tax submissions and payments.
- Maintain and organize pertinent tax documents as required by the Revenue Department and ensure precise tax record-keeping in the accounting system.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the audit process, offering documentation, clarifications, and assistance as required.
- Oversee and actively participate in the future automation advancements between data sources and the accounting system.
Job Requirement:
- Possess a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience of 5 to 10 years in accounting and tax roles.
- Proficient in accounting software like SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms with strong Excel capabilities.
- Certification as a CPA is advantageous.
- Must exhibit strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and patience.
- A dedicated team player with integrity, a positive demeanor, hardworking nature, and diligence.
