About the Role:
As a Manager specializing in Group Reporting at Animoca Brands, you will play a vital role in overseeing the group's consolidated financial reporting and audit procedures in the rapidly evolving spheres of blockchain, digital assets, and gaming. Your responsibilities will include preparing, reviewing, and delivering consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS and pertinent regulatory guidelines, facilitating the group audit across a complex multi-entity structure.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the preparation and review of accurate consolidated financial statements for the group according to IFRS, ensuring regulatory compliance and reflecting the unique elements of digital assets and virtual goods.
Manage the group consolidation process, including intercompany transaction elimination, balance reconciliations, and handling complex group structures.
Coordinate the end-to-end group audit process, working closely with external auditors and resolving audit queries in a timely manner.
Analyze group-level financial results, provide valuable insights to senior management, and support strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with regional and entity finance teams to maintain consistency and accuracy in financial reporting and drive process enhancements.
Establish and uphold internal controls and reporting processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance, particularly related to digital asset management and revenue recognition.
Mentor junior finance team members, fostering continuous learning and professional growth in a dynamic environment.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; a Master's degree is advantageous.
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) is required.
6-8 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including Big 4 or equivalent audit background.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards, ideally with experience in digital assets, gaming, or technology sectors.
Experience with Netsuite or similar ERP/accounting systems is preferred.
Advanced Excel skills including financial modeling and data analysis functions.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
Previous experience in high-growth or entrepreneurial environments, with an interest in blockchain and digital entertainment.
