The Data Science team plays a crucial role in providing valuable insights to enhance user experience at Ava Labs. We are in search of an experienced Data Scientist who can manage data pipelines effectively. This role involves contributing to various data-related projects and extracting actionable insights from on-chain data.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and engineering teams to launch data science initiatives that enhance the core user experience
- Design and analyze experiments to understand ecosystems, user behaviors, and long-term trends
- Create scalable and reliable pipelines to ingest blockchain data into cloud-native databases
- Optimize existing data sets to improve Ava Labs’ products and decision-making
- Collaborate with engineers to develop scalable solutions for processing required data
- Play a key role in informing, influencing, and executing the product strategy at the intersection of different teams
Requirements
- Degree in a quantitative field or relevant work experience, with advanced degrees preferred
- In-depth knowledge of blockchain, crypto, and DeFi
- 3+ years of industry experience in data science or product analytics
- Proficiency in SQL for writing structured queries on large data sets
- Proficient in Golang, Spark, or Python
- Experience in building data flows from ingestion to dashboards, including stakeholder engagement
- Skilled in causal inference, advanced experiment methods, applied statistics, and data science methodologies
- Familiarity with containerization concepts such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with DBT modeling is a plus
Salary Range: $128,400 to $160,400
