We are currently looking for an Applied Scientist Intern to be part of our Santa Monica team. This position is tailored for a driven individual with expertise in Multi-View Calibration and Reconstruction, offering a 3-6 month internship opportunity. The chosen intern will be tasked with developing algorithms for calibrating multi-view camera setups and performing 3D reconstructions utilizing multi-view stereo data. The candidate should demonstrate proficiency in 3D Reconstruction, Camera Calibration, Multi-View Stereo, NeRFs, and 3D Gaussian Splatting. Effective collaboration with Applied Science supervisors is crucial, and candidates with a PhD in Computer Vision or Graphic disciplines are highly preferred.
Qualifications
- Actively pursuing an MS or Ph.D. in Visual Computing, Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, 3D Vision, or related areas
- Proficient in Python programming
- Hands-on experience with CV tools like OpenCV, numpy, etc.
- Familiarity with linear algebra and numerical optimization
- Prior exposure to cloud platforms like GCP, Azure, or AWS
- Background in Camera Calibration, Multi-view Stereo, NeRFs, and 3D Gaussian Splatting
- Knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, modern 2D, and 3D Vision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree coupled with substantial experience in Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, 3D Vision, or related fields
- Proficiency in differentiable rendering pipelines such as PyTorch3D or Taichi Graphics
- Experience in developing tools at scale for AR/VR or VFX environments with multi-modal or audio-driven visual systems
- Track record of collaborating within diverse teams spanning researchers, applied scientists, and platform developers
