About the Team:
The Global Legal team at OKX provides legal counsel to the company and its affiliated entities across various legal practice areas and global locations. With a team of over 20 attorneys spread worldwide, we handle legal matters in 100+ countries. Headquartered in San Jose, California, OKX has a global presence with offices in major cities across the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia.
About the Opportunity:
As an Associate General Counsel at OKX, you will play a pivotal role in supporting global token listing procedures and providing legal assistance to the Compliance department. Collaborating closely with the Global Legal team and company leaders, you will split your time working from either our San Jose, San Francisco, or New York office for three days a week with the option to work remotely for two days. The ideal candidate will have legal expertise, a strong interest in cryptocurrency/digital assets, experience in prominent law firms or prestigious financial services/tech companies, and exceptional writing and analytical skills. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in cryptocurrency/digital assets, securities law, white-collar investigations, or compliance programs.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Providing legal support across various areas including token listings, compliance, product development, global regulatory matters, contract negotiation, and partnerships
- Managing external legal counsel and aligning legal advice with business strategies
- Assisting in global regulatory matters and inquiries as needed
- Collaborating with product and business teams to achieve company-wide objectives
- Handling legal requests from different business units and offering strategic legal advice in alignment with business goals
What We Look For In You:
- Active bar membership (CA preferred) or eligibility to practice in California as an in-house counsel
- Residency in the San Francisco Bay Area or New York
- Experience in top-tier law firms or in-house legal teams, preferably in the cryptocurrency/digital assets sector
- Proficiency in global regulatory environments and legislative interpretation
- Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive work ethic
- Background in advising on cryptocurrency, blockchain legal issues, and knowledge of the legal landscape
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and build trust with business teams

- In-depth understanding and experience in the blockchain industry, cryptocurrencies, governance models, and industry trends
- Experience in cross-jurisdictional matters and working with global legal teams
