Responsibilities

  • Create and implement scalable backend game services that can efficiently manage high volumes of traffic and enable real-time multiplayer interactions.
  • Develop strong and efficient code for high-availability services to ensure smooth gaming experiences for our users.
  • Collaborate with game designers and fellow developers to introduce new features into our games, enhancing player engagement and enjoyment.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient in real-time multiplayer games and their backend architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience with concurrency and distributed systems to provide seamless gameplay for large player bases.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs to enable efficient communication between game clients and servers.
  • Solid understanding of SQL, including the ability to design and implement databases to manage game-related data effectively.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux for deployment and management of backend services.
  • Ability to design reliable systems that can function with minimal downtime, delivering a consistent gaming experience to players.
  • Previous involvement in developing high-availability and high-throughput systems capable of handling demanding player loads.
