Blockchain Analyst (Financial Intelligence Unit)
Our Compliance Infrastructure team is dedicated to building and maintaining systems, processes, and technologies that underpin our organization's compliance operations, including oversight of financial crime risks and adherence to relevant regulations such as anti-money laundering, sanctions, and anti-bribery and corruption.
The Blockchain Analyst will work under the supervision of the Director, Financial Crimes, providing vital support to the company's Compliance Program. Responsibilities include conducting detailed investigations, both reactive and proactive, related to blockchain activities, preparing concise reports and briefs on various issues, analyzing data, offering guidance to team members, and staying current on BSA/AML compliance requirements through training sessions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth investigations on referred cases and proactively investigate blockchain-related matters.
- Deliver well-structured reports and briefs on a range of topics, integrating data from various sources into comprehensive analyses.
- Train and assist fellow analysts within the U.S. Financial Crimes Team.
- Maintain expertise in BSA/AML compliance standards and participate in designated BSA training sessions.
Requirements:
- Advanced proficiency in blockchain-based investigations, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in this field.
- Thorough understanding of blockchain technology.
- Extensive knowledge of BSA/AML regulations.
- Proven experience in handling complex investigations involving multiple data sources.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective time management and multitasking abilities.
- Capacity to perform well under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Applicable certifications or coursework.
- Experience in open source research (OSINT).
- Familiarity with tactics used by threat actors in the cryptocurrency realm.
- Proficiency in a second language is advantageous.
