Responsibilities in Business Development
Seeking a qualified Business Development & Partnerships Director for Asia to facilitate the company's continued expansion in the region. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of Asian financial markets in both traditional and digital asset domains. Key responsibilities include spearheading growth initiatives for Wintermute's businesses in Asia while formulating and executing strategic plans. Collaborating with a supportive team and being entrusted to manage opportunities independently distinguishes this role. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the expansion of institutional OTC business in Asia, targeting key entities like banks, asset managers, and family offices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to introduce new products, gather user feedback, and coordinate product launches effectively.
- Cultivate relationships with high-profile crypto projects, local VCs, and other influential players within the region to enhance liquidity provision business.
- Strengthen partnerships encompassing important entities such as exchanges, custodians, and infrastructure providers.
- Drive brand awareness in vital Asian markets through collaboration with various teams.
- Implement a structured business development approach and enhance operational efficiency.
- Stay informed about crypto ecosystem developments to identify potential collaboration and growth avenues.
Professional Qualifications:
Experience in traditional financial and digital asset services, with proficiency in spot and derivatives OTC products. Background in eCommerce can be advantageous. Proven experience in business development or client-facing roles within financial services sector. Adept at delivering tangible business outcomes and achieving set targets. Proficient in several key Asian markets, understanding both local and Western business practices. Must be proficient in Mandarin or Cantonese. Strong communication skills, with a focus on educating clients rather than conventional sales tactics. Knowledge of trading or crypto industry is beneficial. Relevant academic background in Business, Economics, Finance, or related disciplines. FICC sales experience, particularly with institutional clients, is a plus.
