Business Development Position at Wintermute

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Associate to fuel growth in our OTC and liquidity provisioning lines of business. We are looking for an individual with a strong passion for crypto markets, equipped to drive impact within Wintermute.

As a Business Development Associate, you will be responsible for expanding Wintermute's reach by acquiring new counterparties and partners globally, focusing especially on the United States market. Managing a set of specific opportunities, which could include markets, verticals, or products, you will oversee the entire development process. This role involves creating and executing strategic growth plans with support from leadership based in Wintermute's US and international offices. Key Responsibilities:

• Expand the OTC business within both traditional finance and crypto-native sectors, involving acquiring new clients, nurturing existing relationships, collaborating with developer teams for product enhancements, and executing trades.
• Enhance the crypto liquidity provision business by strengthening ties with current crypto projects and attracting new collaborations.
• Cultivate new partnerships with prominent crypto entities including projects, VCs, institutional investors, miners, and other key players in the ecosystem.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to increase brand visibility in targeted markets.
• Develop and elevate relationships with global exchanges.
• Stay informed about crypto industry launches and news, identifying potential collaboration and business development opportunities proactively.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of experience in fast-paced environments such as consulting, banking, or Fintech.
• Understanding of financial services and capital markets, with preference for experience in the crypto sector or trading companies/hedge funds.
• Background in business development or client-facing roles such as B2B sales, management consulting, investment banking, or sales & trading.
• Proficiency in communication, both oral and written, emphasizing clarity, preciseness, and active listening skills.
• Ability to handle legal and commercial aspects related to business development effectively.
• Strong knowledge of OTC derivatives and interest in token structures, market making, liquidity provision, crypto exchanges, and market dynamics.
• Preferably hold SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 licenses.
