Control Algorithm Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled individual in Control Algorithms to join our growing team in Edinburgh. As part of our Analytics team at Enoda, you will be responsible for maintaining and expanding the analytical work surrounding our hardware control algorithms. Your role will involve ensuring the robustness and scalability of these algorithms, enhancing their capabilities, and improving their implementation.

Your Responsibilities

• Analyzing physical systems from first principles to develop practical solutions
• Translating insights into measurable and scalable system improvements
• Deepening understanding of electromagnetic systems, power electronics, control strategies, and code generators
• Collaborating with simulation and production teams to verify analysis
• Documenting analysis, reasoning, simplifications, and engineering trade-offs thoroughly

Key Experience Required

• Strong foundation in electrical engineering and engineering math
• Experience in electrical network analysis in both time and frequency domains
• Ability to identify errors in implementation and address them effectively
• Understanding of real-time embedded systems and underlying hardware
• Interest in broadening knowledge to drive improvements in system performance, reliability, efficiency, and manufacturability
• Strong communication skills for conveying complex concepts effectively
• Intellectual curiosity and ability to ask insightful questions when necessary

Advantages

• Proficiency in Mathematica or other symbolic math software
• Fluency in C/C++
