Job Summary:

We are in search of a skilled individual to take on the role of Country Manager & Company Director for the operations in Italy. The selected candidate will not only supervise our operational activities but also act as a representative for our interests across different platforms and jurisdictions. This position necessitates profound knowledge and experience in managing regulatory compliance, strategic direction, and operational fusion within the Italian market.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Advocacy: Represent Stake as a prominent figure in Italy and abroad by engaging with various governmental bodies at different levels, as well as with public and private entities, including Judicial Authorities.
  • Compliance and Coordination: Act as the main liaison for the company in matters concerning ADM - Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli and other recognized verification entities, in collaboration with our legal team, ensuring adherence to local laws and regulations.
  • Financial and Tax Oversight: Responsible for managing financial and tax affairs, including evaluations and conflicts, utilizing internal resources and external consultants to guarantee compliance and optimum financial performance.
  • Operational Management: Spearhead the integration and administration of the newly acquired entity, aligning with Easygo's ethos, principles, and strategic objectives. Drive market expansion in Italy by implementing innovative techniques that amplify brand visibility and customer participation.
  • Marketing & Planning: Collaborate with the marketing department to orchestrate local promotional campaigns and oversee local partnerships to improve our brand presence in Italy. Analyze market trends and competitors to align group strategies and ensure unified company objectives.
  • Localization: Collaborate closely with product teams and providers to enhance product localization for the Italian market, ensuring alignment with local preferences and regulations.

Skill Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in high-level management positions within the entertainment, gaming, or related sectors, with a substantial focus on the Italian market.
  • Profound knowledge of the Italian regulatory landscape, particularly in the realms of gambling and gaming, coupled with direct interaction with regulatory authorities like ADM.
  • Proficiency in handling legal, financial, and administrative obstacles, ensuring compliance and representing the company's concerns across diverse platforms.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating teams and fostering solid relationships with stakeholders.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Italian and English, equipped with remarkable cultural sensitivity, enabling smooth operation within a global corporate setup.

Education and Work Background:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a senior managerial capacity within the Italian gambling market, with significant exposure to regulatory compliance, legal representation, and strategic leadership.
  • Track record of effectively managing a business or major company division, particularly during integration or transformation phases.

Location:

This role is based in Italy or Malta and involves regular domestic travel, along with occasional international trips to our European hub and the Headquarters situated in Melbourne, Australia.
