About the Opportunity

The OKX Data team oversees the comprehensive data landscape of OKG. Comprising data engineers, data analysts, and data scientists, the team manages all facets of data at OKX, encompassing data ingestion, storage, ETL, visualization, business intelligence, and data science. As a data engineer, your role involves harnessing data technologies to facilitate data-driven decision-making, enhance product/service quality, and delve into risk behavior analysis and strategy development within the risk domain.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Establishing offline data warehouses like ODS, DWD, DWS, and ADS layers on Alicloud and AWS platforms.
  • Building real-time data warehouses using tools such as flink, hologress, and aurora for resilient and efficient data pipelines.
  • Developing risk data marts and optimizing code for resource efficiency and readability.
  • Upholding data integrity and scalability by enforcing data standards, enhancing data validation, monitoring processes, and addressing any arising issues proactively.

What We Look For In You

  • Minimum of 5 years of data engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in data processing tools like Spark, Flink, etc.
  • Expertise in implementing batch and streaming data pipelines.
  • Profound knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Strong command of SQL with adeptness in advanced features like window functions, aggregate functions, and creating user-defined functions.
  • Familiarity with AWS Data Pipeline.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Hive-SQL, Python, Java, and Spark.
  • Self-directed, innovative, collaborative, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in both Mandarin and English, verbally and in writing.

Nice to Haves

  • Familiarity with Alicloud Data Engineering processes.
  • Experience in risk-related positions, particularly in the payment industry and payment risk.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools like Git, Docker, and k8s.

The salary range for this role is $159,000 to $239,000, dependent on various factors such as skills, experience, and market location.
