**Mission
Ledger prioritizes the protection and security of personal data. As an intern within the Data Protection Officer (DPO) team, you will assist the team in company compliance activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in monitoring compliance programs for each team within the group, including analysis of business constraints and risks, identifying necessary measures, project monitoring, procedure development, etc.
- Handle customer and employee requests regarding their personal data (access, deletion, rectification) and contribute to enhancing and automating the data request management process
- Contribute to mapping data processes and flows between internal systems and technical service providers, and update the processing registry
- Participate in negotiating personal data clauses in contracts with Ledger's suppliers and periodically review their compliance
- Monitor ongoing litigation, define strategies, and manage relationships with legal counsel
- Keep abreast of legal developments and draft internal communications (e.g., newsletters) for business teams
- Act as the primary contact for data privacy queries from business teams
- Potentially support various legal department members on diverse topics (trademark law, contract law, corporate law, etc.)
Profile Requirements:
- Specialization in personal data law or technology law (Master's degree), with previous experience in a legal department or law firm handling personal data matters, or in a data protection authority
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Enjoy collaborating in a team, possess outstanding interpersonal skills, and comfortable engaging with operational staff
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Knowledge of blockchain and cryptocurrencies is a plus, but not mandatory.
