The Director of Risk Management position at BitGo New York is pivotal in overseeing and evaluating risk within the cryptocurrency trading and lending sectors, involving credit review of all counterparties. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role collaborates closely with Sales, Trading, and Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive risk oversight for business activities.
• Implement and enforce risk frameworks and procedures, swiftly addressing issues as they arise.
• Contribute significantly to enhancing stress testing, risk analytics, and intra-day risk management strategies.
• Assess and approve risks related to new or substantial changes in margin financing and collateral arrangements.
• Conduct stress testing and VaR analysis of client portfolios, overseeing limit utilizations where necessary.
• Identify, evaluate, and analyze risks across all business areas, such as counterparty, asset, and currency risk.
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across various business functions.
• Stay updated on market structure changes, regulations, and industry best practices.

Pay Structure:

The compensation range for this role typically falls between $170,000 - $210,000 USD in base salary, in addition to equity grants, an annual performance bonus, and the aforementioned benefits. Compensation specifics may vary based on location and seniority level.
