BitGo is seeking a seasoned Director of Engineering to lead the Wallets Engineering division in driving innovation in core wallet technology and enhancing the customer wallet experience. Though not a hands-on coding position, the role requires deep technical involvement in team activities.

This role allows for one day of office work in Palo Alto per week, with the option to work remotely for the rest of the week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop cutting-edge wallet solutions for a diverse client base including crypto-native and Fortune 500 companies.
• Be responsible for ensuring an exceptional user experience on the wallet platform.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Sales, and other key stakeholders to define the product and technical roadmap for Wallets Engineering and effectively implement it.
• Mentor engineering managers to cultivate the next wave of senior engineering leaders within BitGo.
• Cultivate a culture across the engineering team that embodies the company's values of open communication, collaboration, accountability, craftsmanship, and a client-centric approach.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 14+ years of professional experience in software engineering with at least 6 years in a managerial role and 2 years leading managers.
• Exposure to the crypto industry either professionally or personally, or a strong interest in the field.
• Successful track record of transitioning into a new organization in a managerial or director position.
• Demonstrated capability in recruiting and retaining top engineering talent, including managerial staff.
• Proven experience in spearheading company-wide engineering initiatives.
• History of effective collaboration with product teams to shape product roadmaps.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly with business stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Role's Compensation: Depending on location and role level, the salary for this position ranges roughly between $205,000 - $275,000 USD base salary on average. Equity, an annual performance bonus, and the mentioned benefits form part of the overall package.
