Director of Regional Operations
Position Overview:
CleanSpark is looking for a highly skilled and motivated professional to fill the role of Director of Regional Operations responsible for the oversight of daily operations at our mining facilities in Georgia and Mississippi. This position plays a vital role in maintaining optimum operations at our sites, promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous enhancement. As the Director of Regional Operations, you will lead a team of site managers and maintenance personnel, drive operational efficiency, and actively contribute to strategic initiatives aligning with the company's growth objectives. The ideal candidate should possess a solid background in operations management, data center infrastructure, team leadership, and resource optimization.
Responsibilities:
Operation Oversight:
Supervise the day-to-day operations of regional data centers to ensure uptime of no less than 99%.
Develop and execute operational strategies in conjunction with senior management and internal departments to achieve company targets.
Uphold industry best practices, company standards, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational regulations.
Leadership & Team Development:
Lead and manage a regional team of site managers and maintenance staff, nurturing a high-performance culture based on collaboration and respect.
Provide continuous training and development for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge for optimal performance.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement through the implementation of best practices.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with local communities, industry organizations, and business partners.
Represent the company at various events to enhance industry visibility and leadership in the communities of operation.
Operational Efficiency:
Set and evaluate quantitative and qualitative metrics to measure operational efficiency and effectiveness, identifying areas for enhancement.
Manage regional operational budgets in coordination with site managers to ensure cost-effective operations and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure safe and compliant work environments at all sites, complying with all requisite standards, policies, and procedures.
Regularly review and audit operational protocols to guarantee adherence and implement necessary corrective actions.
Resource Management:
Optimize resource utilization, streamline processes, and reduce wastage without compromising quality.
Collaborate with other teams to ensure timely availability of essential resources.
Employee Relations & Performance Management:
Manage employee relations, including disciplinary actions and terminations following company policies.
Instill a sense of accountability and ensure that performance expectations are clearly communicated and achieved.
Undertake other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Over 7 years of experience in operations management, with a focus on data center operations or similar infrastructure.
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Proficient in financial management, budget oversight, and driving cost efficiencies.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Willingness to travel regionally to multiple sites.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
This position may involve responsibilities that require operating a company vehicle or traveling between job sites. Therefore, candidates must be eligible for coverage under CleanSpark's vehicle insurance policy.
