Quantitative Developer

Full time
Remote
Summary:
We are looking to hire a quantitative developer. For this particular role, the focus is more on the dev side of quant dev with a focus on multithreaded systems in Rust rather than in scikit, AI, or stochastic calculus. The focus will be on helping with algorithmic trading bots. Candidate must be interested and excited about blockchain technology in general, and its potential to change the world.
Re.al is a new permissionless Ethereum L2 Blockchain. The ecosystem surrounding the L2 is currently being built out and the role will focus on assisting with scaling and build out of this ecosystem in addition to the family office, Singh Capital, which is backing the ecosystem.
The Job:
- Build out trading, hedging and risk mitigation strategies for the ecosystem and family office
- Key focus on consideration for security and auditing/adjusting and bettering the current tools for 24/7 monitoring and risk-management.
Other responsibilities might include better liquidations bots or arbitrage bots and risk limits for applicable and/or relevant products/services within the ecosystems.
Tools of the Trade:
Rust (must have). If you have previous systems programming (C++, Go), we can still talk, but please understand that we’ll be building in Rust.
Python: the defacto standard for data science and quant analytics.
AWS: Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem would be extremely helpful.
SQL: some SQL would be helpful. Nothing super deep, but most likely you’ll need this to getting data from time to time.
Solidity: re.al is an Eth L2, so Solidity is very important. For some of the more sophisticated trading bots, we’ll be writing our own contracts for that. Also, you’ll need to be comfortable figuring out how existing contracts from dexes or lending platforms hang together, scanning for transactions, etc.
Compensation:
- competitive base salary
- must be open to stablecoin (USDC) salary payments
- discretionary bonus and/or benefits
- potential profit share on Singh Cap
Culture and Personality:
re.al is a very small team of individuals who are passionate about changing the world using blockchain technology. The environment is fun, fast moving and a meritocracy. There is no real hierarchy, your ideas and execution will be valued above all else.
You’ll be working with folks who have been in Web3 and blockchain for over half a decade and are on the cutting edge of the latest trends and narratives. This is, however, a double-edged sword. It means you’ll learn an enormous amount about the space in a short period of time, but you’ll very often have to develop and deploy a strategy within hours or days to ensure we’re the first to capitalize on it. It’s an exciting and fun place to work, and the current timing/opportunity headed into the next cycle is enormous. If that sounds like something you may enjoy, then re.al might be the place for you!
