About the Role
We are currently seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Chainlink Functions product. This role requires exceptional technical skills, decision-making abilities, and collaboration skills to drive rapid and developer-centric improvements to the Chainlink Functions product.
As the technical leader for all Chainlink Functions decisions, you will be supported by a team of engineers who have built the product from scratch to our initial Beta launch. Your responsibilities will include scaling the Chainlink Functions product to accommodate tens of thousands of Web3 developers and playing a crucial role in delivering an important and powerful product.
Your Impact
- Lead a team of experienced engineers in building the general compute platform for blockchains
- Collaborate with the product team to define and plan feature roadmaps and execution
- Determine the product direction to take Chainlink Functions from Beta to an open product
- Maintain high standards within the team and guide engineers in their professional growth
- Participate in the hiring and onboarding process to ensure we attract high-quality engineers who align with our culture and requirements
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in software engineering, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or managerial role
- Experience in managing the engineering and delivery of a product end-to-end, with a balance between product direction and engineering best practices
- Familiarity with blockchain technology, Web3 protocols, and the challenges associated with developing large, distributed systems
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with internal and external partners on technical and business matters
- Possess servant leadership skills and a natural ability to inspire and motivate others
- Able to work effectively as part of a globally-distributed team with a strong sense of ownership
- Experience in coordinating technical stakeholders and making product decisions
Preferred Requirements
- Technical and/or product management experience in a blockchain project
- Interest or experience in the blockchain or crypto space
