Job Role:

BitGo seeks an Engineering Manager to join its Prime team, focusing on developing resilient services and overseeing critical projects independently. As part of the role, full-time physical presence at the New York City office is essential to foster collaboration and innovative problem-solving within the team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and nurture a group of highly skilled engineers, offering both technical and hands-on guidance.
• Cultivate team growth and contribute to fostering an open communication culture emphasizing craftsmanship and accountability.
• Ensure high-quality delivery of team projects and take ownership of technology powering BitGo Prime services.
• Act as a liaison between engineering teams and various internal and external stakeholders, including product operations, compliance, and business teams.
• Drive operational efficiency by setting and achieving KPIs related to internal operations and client satisfaction.
• Foster documentation and knowledge sharing practices within the team.
• Collaborate with management and product teams to strategize, estimate, and prioritize roadmap objectives in alignment with company goals.
• Ensure the team's alignment with broader company objectives and client needs.

Skills & Experience:

Required:

• Substantial managerial experience in an engineering department.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a managerial role leading engineers.
• Strong inclination towards automation and improving workflow efficiency.
• Proficiency in debugging and comprehension of complex system dynamics.
• Demonstrated track record in talent acquisition and team building.
• Proven success in cross-team collaboration and enabling functional teams to achieve departmental objectives.
• Ability to adapt quickly, make informed decisions, and possess a Computer Science or equivalent degree.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a keen interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with NodeJS, TypeScript, Go, Postgres, React, and Kafka.
• Experience with microservices and service-oriented architectures.
• Proficiency in large-scale, real-time, and distributed applications.
• Knowledge of Containers and Kubernetes, coupled with exposure to the financial industry.
• Familiarity with digital wallets, settling, lending, trading, or accounting systems.

Pay Transparency Notice: Compensation for this role includes a base salary averaging between $180,000 to $240,000 USD, along with equity, annual performance bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package.
