About The Role
As the Engineering Manager for Release Engineering, you will be instrumental in shaping our release processes and infrastructure at CLL. Your key responsibilities include defining and implementing release golden paths to ensure efficient delivery of our products, optimizing packaging and artifacts, empowering teams through innovative GitHub management using Pulumi, and driving enhanced internal productivity with standardized release tooling and CI/CD pipelines. Your role will also involve providing on-demand environments for quick development and testing, accelerating time to market while upholding high-quality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in software development management leading a team of 6 or more people
- Experience managing the engineering and delivery of release tools and CI/CD pipelines for globally-distributed internal customers
- Proficiency in building k8s based test environments and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Global collaboration skills with a high level of ownership
- Strong technical background with experience in responsible project delivery as a staff engineer
- Proven ability to empower software engineers, enhance team productivity, set goals, and leverage data for operational improvements
Preferred Requirements
- Experience or knowledge of blockchain technology, Web3 protocols, and challenges in developing large, distributed systems
- Proficiency in facilitating team ceremonies and resolving blockers to support day-to-day operations
- Understanding of Release Management practices, golden paths for CI/CD pipelines, and release performance metrics
- Adaptability in changing team roadmaps based on new information, engaging the team in new directions
- Strong experience in data-driven decision-making
- Experience in working on or leading Platform teams and defining SLO/SLIs for internal tools
- Proficiency in building tools with Golang and TypeScript
All roles at Chainlink Labs are global and remote-based, with a preference for overlap with Eastern Standard Time working hours.
