About the Opportunity

The Risk Engineering team at OKX US Engineering, located in San Jose, is responsible for identifying, preventing, and managing payment risks. This team has experienced rapid growth and is continuing to expand. An enthusiastic engineering manager is sought to lead the OKBrain Infra and ML team. What You’ll Be Doing 

• Leading the establishment and management of the OKBrain Infra and ML team at OKX

• Collaborating with product and organizational objectives, and working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve key milestones

• Crafting a long-term technical roadmap aligned with the goals of the Risk Engineering organization

• Steering system design and providing technical solutions for data pipelines and ML models

  • Devising and implementing risk data flows for data collection and storage, as well as tools for monitoring and issue resolution

  • Developing the feature store and delivering feature data to end-users

  • Implementing effective labeling processes, quality measurement procedures, and tooling support

  • Building infrastructure to support ML development, testing, and deployment

  • Creating ML models for assessing payment risks based on defined metrics from product, data science, and engineering teams

  • Establishing a sampling process to enhance the performance of ML models iteratively

What We Look For In You 

• Minimum of 8 years of industry experience, including 3-5 years of managing teams of 5-10 individuals

• At least 3 years of experience in ML development, with proficient skills in pipeline development and model training

• Comfortable with a 50% management and 50% hands-on split, utilizing Python for ML or Java for infrastructure

• Proficient in system design, coding, and code review, especially in preparation for code releases

• Results-oriented and data-driven mindset

OKX Statement

The mentioned salary range for this role is $235,000 to $330,000 but could vary depending on several factors including skills, knowledge, experience, and market location. In addition to the base salary, eligible candidates may receive performance bonuses and long-term incentives as part of the compensation package, in conjunction with a range of medical, financial, and wellbeing benefits.
