Ethena Labs is actively creating and launching a range of pioneering products to tackle key industry challenges and unlock new opportunities in digital finance.

Our leading product, USDe, is a digital dollar pegged to digital assets and employs a delta-neutral hedging strategy to maintain stability. This approach ensures a scalable and censorship-resistant digital dollar.

Expanding on this, we offer sUSDe, a product that offers crypto-native rewards derived from funding rates in derivatives markets, presenting an appealing alternative to traditional financial system products.

Moreover, we are developing solutions to facilitate institutional adoption of digital assets. USDtb, a stablecoin developed in collaboration with Securitize and Blackrocks BUIDL fund, provides an asset-backed stablecoin option that appeals to institutional clients through established financial infrastructure. Similarly, iUSDe is tailored for traditional financial institutions and incorporates necessary compliance features to enable them to access crypto-native rewards in a compliant manner.

Our most ambitious project, Converge, a joint initiative with Securitize, is a hybrid blockchain designed to serve as the intersection where DeFi meets the needs of traditional finance. This platform aims to be a primary issuance layer for tokenized assets, seamlessly integrating with existing DeFi protocols and providing institutions with a gateway to participate in the decentralized economy.

The Role

As an Execution Trader at Ethena's trading team, you will play a key role in managing the operations, trading, and positioning of the backing assets for USDe. This includes handling collateral movement between custodians, operating an automated execution platform, and engaging with internal stakeholders. This position requires flexibility and trust, as events in the 24/7 marketplace demand rapid responses. The outcomes of your team's execution practices are vital in driving the success of Ethena's products.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in Portfolio Management tasks to oversee USDe’s backing assets, such as spot digital assets, derivatives positions, and placements in DeFi money markets.
• Execute trades efficiently using proprietary algorithms while adhering to strict risk parameters and market conditions.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure seamless trading coverage, particularly during your local working hours (US or Asia), and as needed outside regular hours at the direction of the Head of Trading.
• Contribute to the development and prioritization of features requested by the engineering team to enhance existing tools.
• Monitor real-time market risks (liquidity, volatility, counterparty risks) and adjust positions to minimize exposure.
• Provide regular updates to the Head Trader on portfolio performance, trade outcomes, and market conditions.

Requirements:

• Experience as a senior trader or higher in electronic or quantitative trading.
• Proven track record in cryptocurrency markets, with proficiency in trading perpetual contracts and spot trading using various crypto exchanges.
• Proficient in Python for data analysis, trade evaluation, or backtesting purposes.
• Strong prioritization and communication skills suitable for a fast-paced, high-integrity environment with a focus on delivering impactful results.
