Finance Manager - LATAM

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial management operations for multiple legal entities in Latam, including managing month-end and year-end closing cycles, conducting bank and asset balance reconciliations, handling accounts payables and receivables, assisting with invoicing and payment processing, preparing financial statements, ensuring timely regulatory and tax filings, managing relationships with banks, vendors, accounting partners, and auditors, and collaborating with internal functions such as treasury and global accounting.

• Ensure the quality of accounting by verifying and defining accounting methodologies, validating journal entries, reconciling balances across different entities, and enhancing accounting systems and procedures to guarantee complete, accurate, and timely financial reporting.

• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to uphold internal controls, ensure compliance with group accounting policies and internal control procedures, maintain precise financial records, and facilitate audits by providing transparent and well-documented financial information.

• Partner with Regional & Country leaders in executing plans and ensuring accountability for results, utilizing strategic insights to assist in financial decisions, investments, efficiency improvements, and evolving business models.

• Collaborate with Regional & Country leaders to establish annual targets for revenues, marketing, and local spend, ensuring high accuracy in profit and loss forecasts throughout the fiscal year.

• Identify opportunities for enhancing efficiency, growing revenues, and optimizing company resources, lead projects aimed at enhancing performance and increasing ROI, and assist in ad-hoc financial analysis and investment case modeling.

• Foster team collaboration and contribute to building a cooperative team culture in a remote working setting by sharing best practices, supporting colleagues on their projects, and working towards collective team objectives.

Requirements

• Hold a BA/BS in Finance or Accounting (Master/MBA, CMA, or CPA preferred).
• Possess 8+ years of relevant experience in roles like Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or Finance Business Partner within reputable Technology/FinTech or listed/multinational companies.
• Have a strong understanding of general accounting procedures, financial and tax statements, general ledger functions, and the month-end/year-end closing process.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese, with some knowledge of Spanish preferred for effective collaboration.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-level financial planning and accounting systems is advantageous.
• Showcase exceptional modeling and analytical skills along with a strong executive presence.
• Demonstrate initiative, dedication, goal-oriented mindset, ability to work in unstructured environments, handle ambiguity, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and offer clarity and structure.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exhibit a keen interest in crypto and blockchain technology.
