About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Front-End Developer at Toku to spearhead the development and maintenance of our UI design system. The successful candidate will drive UI/UX designs for all Toku products, utilizing their expertise in modern front-end technologies.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement a scalable, reusable UI design system for Toku's web applications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration between UI and APIs.
- Develop high-performance and responsive components using React.js.
- Lead front-end architecture following best practices for maintainability and scalability.
- Translate design mockups into pixel-perfect, responsive web pages using Typescript, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Optimize components for maximum performance, focusing on speed and accessibility.
- Maintain and enhance the existing codebase, ensuring code quality and industry standards compliance.
- Stay abreast of emerging front-end technologies and incorporate them as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a front-end developer.
- Proficient in Typescript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
- Hands-on experience with React.js and related libraries (e.g., Next JS, React Query, React Router, Redux).
- Strong grasp of CSS methodologies for structured and maintainable CSS.
- Experience in designing systems or using component libraries like Material-UI or Ant Design.
- Familiarity with build tools and package managers like Webpack, Babel, npm/yarn.
- Proficient in version control systems, particularly Git.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and optimization techniques.
- Ability to work in an agile environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Familiarity with CSS-in-JS libraries like Styled Components, Emotion.
- Understanding of performance testing and browser compatibility debugging.
