Front-End Developer (UI Design System)

Role Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Front-End Developer at Toku to spearhead the development and maintenance of our UI design system. This role involves taking charge of the UI/UX aspects across all Toku products. If you are a motivated professional well-versed in modern front-end technologies, we would like to connect with you.
Responsibilities:
- Create and deploy an adaptable, reusable UI design system for Toku's web applications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth integration between UI and APIs.
- Develop components using React.js for optimum performance and responsiveness on various devices and browsers.
- Lead front-end architecture, upholding best practices for scalability and maintenance.
- Translate design concepts into precise, responsive web pages employing Typescript, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Enhance component performance, emphasizing speed and accessibility.
- Enhance the existing codebase, guaranteeing code quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Stay abreast of emerging front-end technologies and incorporate them when necessary.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a front-end developer.
- Proficient in Typescript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
- Extensive hands-on expertise in React.js and associated libraries (e.g., Next JS, React Query, React Router, Redux).
- Sound knowledge of CSS methodologies like BEM, SMACSS, or OOCSS for structured CSS.
- Background in developing design systems or using component libraries like Material-UI or Ant Design.
- Familiarity with build tools such as Webpack, Babel, Turbo, and package managers like npm/yarn.
- Proficiency in Git and version control systems.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and optimization techniques like WCAG 2.0.
- Ability to work in an agile setup and communicate effectively with diverse teams.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Familiarity with CSS-in-JS libraries such as Styled Components, Emotion.
- Understanding of performance testing and debugging for browser compatibility.
