The Role
As a Full Stack Engineer specializing in backend services at our crypto startup, you will lead the design and implementation of service architecture, APIs, and SDKs. By collaborating with frontend developers and smart contract engineers, you will shape the crucial middle layer of our platform to ensure smooth connectivity between user interfaces and blockchain elements. Thriving in a dynamic startup environment, you should demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills even in ambiguous situations. Additionally, you will engage with partners and external contributors, guiding them through onboarding and aiding them in leveraging our unique protocol.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and integration of backend services, APIs, and SDKs, working closely with smart contract engineers and app developers to align with blockchain elements.
- Develop and maintain SDKs in multiple languages such as TypeScript, GoLang, and Python for seamless integration across various platforms.
- Facilitate integration with third-party service providers like payment gateways, wallet services, AI/ML services, and storage solutions.
- Establish and enhance best practices for secure, stable, and scalable application development. Apply Open Source processes and methodologies to maintain high standards.
- Create detailed API/SDK documentation to enable partners and developers to effectively use our platform's capabilities.
Who You Are
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/Math/Engineering or related field.
- Possess 5-7+ years of experience in full-stack development, specializing in application development, frontend/backend services, API, and SDK design and implementation.
- Demonstrate extensive experience in open-source development and community engagement.
- Exhibit a strong interest and understanding of blockchain, web3 technologies, cryptocurrency, NFTs, either professionally or personally.
- Be a motivated team player with strong communication skills, eager to learn and drive projects forward.
Location: Bay Area or open to relocating. On-site work required three days a week.
Salary: $170,000 - $230,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:
• Architect, implement, and deploy secure smart contracts for an on-chain Play-to-Earn GameFi ecosystem
• Lead contract design decisions with a focus on robustness, auditability, gas efficiency, and resilience to attack vectors
